Sils receive CARA nominations!
The Sil'hooette's newest cd, "Sauce" has been nominated for a total of 5 CARAs!
Female Collegiate Album, Female Collegiate Song for "Butterflies & Hurricanes," Female Collegiate Solo for Jenna Pastuszek on "Careful What You Wish For," Female Collegiate Arrangement for "Slow Me Down" by Sara Dougadir, and Scholastic Original for "Dance With Me" by Lexi Witman.
In sum, the Sils were nominated for every category for which they were eligible!
The annual Contemporary A cappella Recording Awards (CARA) are presented by CASA (the Contemporary a cappella society), a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and encouragement of contemporary a cappella music. The CARAs recognize the best recorded a cappella and aim to support this burgeoning culture of instrumentless enthusiasts. They are the only truly global a cappella recording awards. Every year since 1992 hundreds of albums are considered in this celebration of the best a cappella recorded around the planet. The CARAs award artists in many categories, scholastic and professional.
