THE VIRGINIA SIL'HOOETTES
Established in the spring of 1989, the Virginia Sil’hooettes are a nationally recognized A Capella group. From singing at the White House to opening for artist like B. o. B., the Sils have taken their music around the nation. In 2017, The Virginia Sil'hooettes became the first UVA a cappella group to release a music video, showcasing their award-winning rendition of "River" by Bishop Briggs. The Sil'hooettes are the most award-winning a cappella group at the University of Virginia. They hold over 40 awards including multiple CARA’s and RARB awards for Best-Female Collegiate Album, Track of the Year, and Album Pick of the Year.
